By car

Tjolöholm Castle is situated about 40 km south of Gothenburg. From the E6/E20, take exit 58, towards Fjärås/Tjolöholm. Follow the signposts to Tjolöholm from there.

By bus

Take the train from Gothenburg to Kungsbacka, and then the 732 bus towards Frillesås. Get off at the ‘Torpa Smedja’ bus stop, from there it is a 3,5 km walk to Tjolöholm. You find timetables here.

Parking

There are a total of approximately 3,000 parking spaces on the estate. Disabled spaces are available in the gravel parking lot closest to the parking machine and along the road towards the beach northwest of the castle. The parking fee is 40kr/4h (between 2/6 – 27/8 50kr/4h) and after 4 hours our fee is 10kr/h.

Quickstop

The parking area is marked with a sign when you arrive at Tjolöholm. Maximum stay is two nights. There are six places with electricity and three extra-long places, totalling 20 places. The parking fee during the high season (June 17th to September 4th) is 245 SEK per day. During the low season (January 1st to June 16th, and September 5th to December 31st), the fee is 185 SEK per day. There are toilets and showers available 24/7 in the red building adjacent to the car park. Camping is prohibited all over Tjolöholm. The places can not be pre-booked.

Restroom

Toilets are available in Manegen, outside Magasinet and in Storstugan. Adjacent to the parking lots is a toilet that is open all year round, 24 hours a day. There is also a shower here that can be used by visitors. 
Disabled toilets are available in the Castle shop and in Storstugan.  There is also a disabled toilet at the car park which is available 24 hours a day, all year round.
