Tjolöholm Castle is Sweden’s leading Art and crafts property. The Castle was built in English 16th century style, with gardens leading down to the sea, and a picturesque village with a church. It is the ideal site for a magical, fairytale wedding.
The castle church gives a wonderful atmosphere to the service, but it is also possible to exchange vows on the lawn between the castle and the sea, or even inside the castle, with a crackling open fire in the background, for the perfect winter wedding.
The castle terrace is the preferred place for drinks, with a breathtaking view of the ocean. A first class dinner can be arranged in the dining room, before dancing in the main hall. The dining room seats up to 90 guests, but with additional seating in the hall, up to 130 guests can be accommodated.
The Storstugan restaurant (the former Village hall) is also a perfect setting for a cosy, smaller scale wedding, with room for 60 guests, and views over typical Halland landscape.
The former gatehouse or the apartment above Storstugan are perfect settings for a romantic wedding night. The estate can also accommodate an additional 36 guests overnight.
The castle and Storstugan are also perfect for other celebrations, special occasions or company parties. Magasinet can accommodate larger parties.
Whatever the event, Tjolöholm can provide an occasion to be remembered. We will do all we can to provide your dream wedding or party. We can even help print invitations, menus, wedding or party programs and more.
Experience the magic of Tjolöholm Castle. “It was like stepping into a fairytale, so different to anything else I had seen so far” said the young priest Gustaf Ankar on his first visit to Tjolöholm in 1904. Over a hundred years on, Tjolöholm is still a world of it’s own. The castle presides over the estate’s turn of the century style chapel, the village hall and the worker’s cottages. Let the magic of Tjolöholm become part of your wedding!READ MORE
The castle chapel makes for a moving service. The chapel seats up to 180 and is relatively small, built in the Scottish style. As the church is ecumenical it is open for all Christian orders. From the chapel it is only a short walk down the hill to the Storstugan restaurant. A service can also be arranged outside, with a view over the ocean and surrounding meadows.READ MORE
