Change Music Festival

In 2013 North Halland Kungsbacka Chamber music festivals and music at the Kattegat came together and became Change Music Festival. The festival offers first-class chamber music in three locations : Tjolöholm Castle, Kungsbacka and Varberg. Artistic director of the festival is Simon Crawford – Phillips. This year’s theme for Change Music Festival is Connections. We want to emphasize the meeting with our audience, with the composers whose music we have in front of us, and the musicians who perform. Each piece of music that is played during the festival is inserted in a context that focuses on the connection between the music and its defining place in history. Meetings between cultures, art forms and generations. In a modern world of ever-present virtual contacts, we go in search of something more tangible hands-on and real.
