Whatever you do, make sure to enjoy the Tjolöholm peninsula which is renowned for its diverse wildlife and breathtaking views of the ocean. Countless paths and trails run through ancient oak forests, coastal meadows and deciduous woodland. There is a long tradition of bathing at Tjolöholm. Generations of visitors have enjoyed swimming in the salt water by the castle. The large grass lawns are perfect for playing games and picnicking in the sun.
Whatever age you are it is always exciting to visit Tjolöholm. New for this year we have a Tudor-inspired fancy dress closet with a wonderful selection of clothes for boys, girls and playful grown ups. You can also enjoy the freedom of our fabulous park by the sea, watch children’s theater on an outdoor stage, follow maid Ottilia on a tour of the castle or go mad on the pirate ship by the beach. At Tjolöholm there is always plenty to do for kids!
Throughout the year you will always find great food in our restaurants, picnic baskets, hotel rooms or cafe. We pride ourselves on our locally sourced and homegrown ingredients. Our chefs in both the homely Storstugan and the stately kitchens of the castle are passionate about quality and seasonality. From Storstugan you can gaze over the meadows where Tjolöholm’s cows graze, or you can watch our bees collecting pollen for our honey. Whether it is hearty food after a long walk or an elegant afternoon tea in the grand hall of the castle, you will always find something to whet your appetite at Tjolöholm.
